Copenhagen Capacity (CopCap) is the official organisation for investment promotion and economic development in Greater Copenhagen

CopCap will be hosting the UIA World Congress of Architects in 2023, and it will be named UNESCO World Capital of Architecture. During the World Congress, the organization will assist foreign companies in experiencing Greater Copenhagen’s beacons in sustainable urban development.

Copenhagen won the bid to host the 2023 World Congress of Architects in 2017 after presenting an ambitious theme focusing on ‘Sustainable futures – Leave no one behind’. By hosting the World Congress, Copenhagen will put a strong focus on the role of architecture in sustainable city planning and promote, discuss, develop and showcase architecture as a crucial tool to achieving the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

Experience Copenhagen’s sustainable urban planning

During the World Congress of Architecture in Copenhagen in July 2023, Copenhagen Capacity will organise site visits for foreign companies wishing to experience the city’s beacons and biggest achievements within energy efficient building, architecture, green city spaces and sustainable urban planning.

“The UIA World Congress attracts thousands of foreign companies and experts in architecture and urban planning. Through tailored visiting tours, Copenhagen Capacity wants to showcase Greater Copenhagen’s beacons within urban sustainable development as well as business opportunities for foreign companies”
