The 11th World Chambers Congress taking place in Rio on 12-14 June explores the ramifications associated with climate change and how business can implement sustainable practices across the global supply chain.
In his opening address, Secretary General John Denton discussed the future @iccwbo “We are a purpose led institution that has endured for 100 years and we have now committed ourselves to the next 100 years”.
Ms. Arancha Gonzales, ITC Executive Director, emphasized that Chambers of Commerce were key intermediaries between business and government. They can promote:
– Economic inclusion and environmental sustainability
– A win-win agenda for multilateral cooperation on trade.
